CABAA General Membership Information
In case you haven't heard, CABAA is not only on the move, but we are rapidly gaining momentum! We have re-instated our BI-Monthly Educational Forums and General Meetings that feature rich, timely and professional presentations of interest to the membership, and hold alternating "Hangar Visits" as well as Vendor Static Displays of Aircraft for the months in between. We have formed a number of ad-hoc committees to address concerns of our membership. Examples are: The ATC and Governmental Affairs Committees. Furthermore, CABAA has been, and will continue to be the voice for business aviation in the Midwest. We have a close relationship with the NBAA as is evidenced by this letter from Ed Bolen.
Additionally, we know how to have fun, as well. This includes our annual CABAA Charity Golf Outing which was held at Prairie Landing Golf Course West Chicago, Illinois. Last year we hosted almost 150 golfers, and raised and donated $45,000 for aviation scholarships and had a Christmas social.
But beyond this, there are ample other reasons for you to consider joining (or renewing), participating in, and becoming an active part of this important "grass roots" organization. So what are some of the additional activities and benefits of being a CABAA Member?
- A regular opportunity to network with your peers in a casual but professional environment.
- Put forth issues to be considered and championed by CABAA for the benefit of the membership.
- Ability to serve on committees and affect changes for aviation issues that matter to you.
- Hear informative presentations given by regulators, agencies, vendors and service organizations.
- Provide a powerful, clear, single active voice advocating the causes of local Business Aviation.
CABAA needs you AND YOUR COMPANY to be a member, and as such, CABAA can be a significant resource to you! Yes, the other national organizations do a good job for our industry on a national scale (and as a matter of fact, CABAA was founded under the auspices of NBAA). But we need to join our voices together to protect our interests at the local level. We already know how one powerful local politician can literally "erase" an airport from existence overnight! Separately, no matter how large the single company you represent may be, you have little influence by yourself against the forces mounting against Business Aviation. Together, we can be a mighty coalition that cannot be ignored.
