The CABAA Educational Foundation
The Educational Foundation was incorporated as an IRS 501 (C) 3 Charitable Corporation in 2007.
Since September 11, 2001 there has been a continual decline in the number of young people pursuing educational programs that would allow them to enter the General Aviation industry.
CABAA’s goal has always been “to promote and advance the interest of Corporate Aviation through Educational Programs and Scholarships”. Following those goals, the Educational Foundation was founded to promote the interest in General Aviation by the youth of our area by providing scholarships , mentoring programs, and the introduction of aviation to elementary and high school children.
Most recently the Educational Committee has been introducing aviation to students in Chicago area schools. The Committee has been using the Portable Flight Simulator that the Foundation funded for use at Kishwaukee College and the Education Committee.
The Educational Foundation is managed by a total volunteer effort and therefore 100% of its donations are used directly for the educational programs and scholarships.
