North-use:  BAE
Northeast-use:  PMM-PEEPS
East-use:  FWA: or GSH
Southeast-use:  SPI or EON
South-use:  SPI or IRK
Southwest-use: SPI or IRK
West-use:  LMN or CVA
Northwest-use:  CVA or RFD

North-use:  BAE 
Northeast-use:  LEWKE-GIJ
East-use:  LEWKE-GIJ
Southeast-use:  EON
South-use:  RBS or EON
Southwest-use:  RBS
West-use:  IOW

Other useful tips for GYY:

  • Link to Gary/Chicago International Airport website:  http://www.garychicagoairport.com/
  • SID’s-Use MDW SID’s on departures for distant airports.
  • Deice capability-Gary Jet Center has deice capability and requires pilots to taxi to a specific deice location.
  • Large volume of VFR traffic to the Southeast of the airport towards JOT VOR below 4,000’ MSL.
  • Plan extra fuel for arrivals.  Chicago ATC drops aircraft down very early.
